Randall's Story
Workplace:
In my past I served in the Navy for a stretch of seven years and later thirteen years. In between I worked factory and service jobs. After retiring from the Navy, I've moved around job wise. Seven years at Krones Inc where I wired control panels, seven years at Home Depot, three years at Speedway, and five years with Schmitt Protective Services..In 2015 I moved on to Amazon at it's facility in Kenosha WI. As of fall 2017, I've been working full time since graduation and I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up, but some choices are becoming eliminated by age. I did get to see a bit of the future this year as I recovered from a bad broken leg, Five months out of work while recovering. Thank you for insurance. Thankfully that is my first major physical problem in this life time.
Family:
Son of Harold A. Van Dusen jr. (Deceased 3/2007) and Joyce Van Dusen (Deceased 10/2013). Two sisters, Wendy (class of 70, living in Reedsburg) and Shari (class of 82, Deceased 10/1989). Travel and living, does Vietnam count? not really, my time there was three tours in the Gulf of Tonkin, about thirty miles east of the eastern shores, I did visit Hawaii, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines, As for the first Gulf War, just missed the active part, but did three tours in the Gulf, enforcing the no fly zones. that added Dubai of the UAE to my visits. Again I visited Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines. These second visits, two decades after the first were eye openers in the amount of change and what prosperity does as far as Singapore and Hong Kong. That last set of country visits was in the early 90's, I wish I could return again but I could never again afford such a trip as that.
In between I visited Oslo, Glasgow, and San Juan Porto Rico.
I lived in Charleston-SC, Bainbridge-MD, Saratoga Springs-NY, Long Beach-CA, Newport News and Norfolk-VA, Tamunning-Guam, Great Lakes-IL, and Bremerton-WA.
I bought a house in Racine in 1994 with the plan of moving on five years latter, still here twenty three years later. Expect another four or five, then to move South somewhere.
